A seasoned paralegal with over 13 years’ experience, Caroline obtained her DCS in Paralegal Technology in 2007. She began her career as a paralegal in courthouses and then in bailiff’s offices, which allowed her to acquire in-depth knowledge of civil procedure and the legal system.

A seasoned paralegal with over 13 years’ experience, Caroline obtained her DCS in Paralegal Technology in 2007. She began her career as a paralegal in courthouses and then in bailiff’s offices, which allowed her to acquire in-depth knowledge of civil procedure and the legal system. Her extensive knowledge of the system remains very useful when it comes to finding the best way to assert rights or make a claim. Caroline has worked as a litigation paralegal for law firms since 2012. For the past three years, she worked mainly with Benoît Chartier at a large law firm in downtown Montreal in civil litigation, general liability and insurance litigation.

Caroline drafts correspondence and procedures, coordinates files, summarizes discoveries, mandates experts and drafts letters to appoint expert witnesses, coordinates preparation of undertakings made during examinations for discovery, conducts investigations and analyses, assists in file updates, assists lawyers during trial preparation, prepares assessment of damages and medical record authorization requests. She also supports lawyers in trial preparation including preparation of case brief and book of authorities. 

Caroline conducts legal and corporate searches on databases such as CAIJ, Azimut, CanLII and the Registre des Entreprises du Québec.
